Led by CFPA member Princess Auto in cooperation with the Louis Riel School Division, the first Fluid Power Challenge in Winnipeg will be taking place over the next several weeks. Twenty, four-student teams from five different schools will participate. The Workshop Day, which introduces students to the materials and tools that they will use as well as the problem that they will need to solve, will be held on Wednesday, February 8th. The Challenge Day, when the students build, test and demonstrate their fluid power devices, will take place on Wednesday, March 15th. Both events will take place at the Louis Riel Arts & Tech Centre, 5 de Bourmont Avenue in Windsor Park.
Any local CFPA members who are interested in seeing the Challenge firsthand are invited to arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 pm on March 15th so that they can see the students complete the construction of their devices and then demonstrate them.
