REPORT ON NOVEMBER 20TH MEETING......
MANUFACTURING 20/20
Dr. Jayson Myers didn't pull any punches as he presented an overview on the state of Canadian manufacturing - and it's not a pretty picture. Of course, it isn't just manufacturing that's feeling the pinch in today's turbulent economic times. As Dr. Myers explained it, most economic downturns in recent years have been confined to one or two sectors. The current situation is touching all economic sectors - financial, housing, manufacturing, transportation, and on and on. With consumer confidence eroded, there's only so much the government can do to stimulate economic growth.
Those who weren't able to attend the meeting missed one of the most insightful presentations the CFPA has ever offered. Click here to review his powerpoint presentation. We also taped the presentation and will be posting this on the website shortly.
