The Fluid Power Technology Conference is designed to bring technical fluid power information to professionals who design, maintain, repair, and operate machinery and equipment powered by fluid power systems, both hydraulic and pneumatic. This conference is a must for fluid power engineers, designers, users, maintenance personnel, distributor sales professionals and students.
As the primary promotor of fluid power within Canada, the CFPA is proud to partner with the FPTC, which aligns itself with our Pillar of Careers & Education. Held at the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Kern Center, the three-day event includes workshops, exhibitors and keynote sessions on myriad fluid power design, maintenance and troubleshooting topics.
New for 2018 is the Women in Fluid Power Panel. Stemming from the obvious need to encourage women to enter and grow in the fluid power industry, the panel will discuss why this predominantly male industry has been tough to break into and how we can, and should, make changes to the status quo. Panelists scheduled to appear include Dr. H.C. Monika Ivantysynova, Maha Professor Fluid Power Systems and Director of the Maha Fluid Power Research Center at Purdue; Rachel Schmidt, Sales Application Engineer with Elwood Fluid Power. Our very own CFPA Vice President, Caryes Allan will also attend as a member of the panel.
We encourage all our members to attend this event. All CFPA members will receive a 20% discount on general admission. Use promo code "CFPA" at time of registration to apply the discount. The event takes place from Monday, May 14 to Wednesday, May 16, located the MSOE, Kern Center, 1245 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
